On Friday 17 December, for the first time in history, the Main Hall of The Concertgebouw will be filled exclusively with some 750-800 young people (35 and under)!

Entrée, the youth organisation of The Concertgebouw and the Concertgebouworkest, is providing you the opportunity to join this special event with your company/organisation and receive a group discount. The programme features a masterpiece by Richard Strauss, played by the Concertgebouworkest, one of the world’s top classical orchestras. After the concert we will continue the evening with an after party located at different areas of the venue, filled with music, drinks and fellow music-lovers. In short, a unique way to celebrate the end of the year together!

ICA pre-meet 19:30 – 20:30

Before the concert there will be an special ICA gathering with drinks (included) to meet each other and discuss about the things that have happened in the last year and to re-connect to each other. Apart from us there will be also people from other young professional organizations present to meet and chat with.

Following this initial part in the beautiful surroundings of the Concertgebouw area, we go together to indulge ourselves in the main hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Eine Alpensinfonie by Richard Strauss, with an introduction by Belgian TV-host Thomas Vanderveken 20:30-22:00

Famous composer Richard Strauss could make an orchestra play anything and everything. According to the man himself, he desired to “be able to depict in music a glass of beer so accurately that every listener can tell whether it is a Pilsner or a Kulmbacher.”

The inspiration for Eine Alpensinfonie stems from his experience of hiking in the mountains as a child. The music takes us along for an early morning walk. As the sun rises, we are labouring up the hill, arriving at a forest. Walking along a stream we stumble upon a beautiful waterfall. Throughout the walk we come across meadows filled with flowers, a glacier, mist, a thunderstorm and stunning views. Strauss’ musical imagination, illuminating all these vivid scenes, is unparalleled. Whether you have similar experiences to Strauss or not, the music is guaranteed to take your breath away.

Afterparty 22.00 - 00.00

The post-concert after party is the place where everyone can meet & mingle, drink & dance. Wander through the halls of the Concertgebouw and find various acts along the way, such as DJs, Jazz, and other art forms. See you there!
