STRESS-IT: Technology at work, a curse or blessing?

This evening is all about stress. How stress help us to perform on a high cognitive and physic level, but also how stress is a cause of distraction, illness and bad performance. Next to colleagues, workspace and work pressure technology have a big impact on managing and increasing your stress level. In this second Psych-It meetup researchers from Fontys and TNO will tell us their story about STRESS-IT.

Dr. Janienke Sturm is a professor Human and Technology at Fontys Hogeschool HRM and Psychology. She knows a lot about the impact on the human on technology and the other way around. What is the impact of technology on our society? Janienke Sturm does research on technology acceptance, behavior changes and user experience in different areas such as elderly care, sports and education.

Liza van Dam and Joep van den Eerenbeemt are researchers at TNO in the field of TechnoStress. They discovered that TechnoStress is often associated with frustration about not working technology, being forced to work with incomprehensible software or digitization. But TechnoStress is a much broader and more complex phenomenon in our society and working life.
