Become our new Special Events Manager
About this role
As our Special Events Manager, you are responsible for the organisation of our three annual and major ICA events:
- The Young Professionals of the Year awards (sequence of 3 events in a period of 12 weeks), our battle between member organisations
- Olympica, our hockey and soccer tournament
- Meet the leaders, our flahship leadership event
You are the one responsible for the strategy, the concept and program development, and the execution. Of course, you are supported by your fellow board members when needed. This role allows you to make direct impact in our network since these events reach a large share of our netwerk. Our special events are highly appreciated by our members, and are the flagship of ICA!
Responsibilities and tasks
- Developing the concept and program of events
- Being responsible for the A-Z execution of events with 100+ participants
- Working together with external partners and suppliers (location hosts, catering, photographers etc.)
- Managing your budget efficiently and negotiating good deals
- Being the first contact person for ambassadors, members and participants before and during these events
- Aligning closely with other board members and delegating tasks if needed

As our Special Events member, you will recognize yourself in the following competencies:
- Creativity and conceptual thinking for the development of unique events
- Organization and project management skills for succesful execution of events
- Negotiation skills for better deals with our external partners and suppliers
- Communication and presentation skills as you are the face of our special events
- Stress resilience as organizing large events can be challenging
